Ittl suck when the Mercury Merauder comes out every cop in the country will be running them ! That is a bad mother #$% ! Wish I had waited because id rather have that than a GT !

Speaking of Police cars!  Anyone have any idea what kind of h/p thoses Crown Vics pack?  Do they put superchargers and chips in there cars..  I hear that most state police cars, and some city kiddies do. Depending on there budgets for city agencys.   All, I know is some of thoses cruisers arnt ****.   When I see them take off, I get right behide and hold my own, til they get up to about 70 mps.

210 is all. Thats they same thing you can buy off the lot. Its the one with duals.

I think Car and Driver did an article on one of the new police cars...the 0-60 was like 9 seconds. Hehe..

Not too sure about now, but all hiway patrol and police cars used to come with beefed up engines and transmissions, they were what you call interceptor engines, and they would haul butt.  The hiway patrol in a lot of states now have Camaros that are supposed to do over 150 mph.

And hey, if you want a big heavy fast car, just buy yourself a Lincoln town car or a Mark VIII? or something like that.  My brother has a 99 continental, that is a sweet ride, 4.6L with 32vs.

The Police interceptor CV has 225 HP, The only difference between it, and the civilian CV is a beefed up suspension.

they are pretty slow.  E/T of 15.6, and 0-60 in about 8 seconds.  Top Speed about 127 with a light bar, 135 for a slick top.

Dont let this think you can outrun em.  For one, they dont have the 115 mph cutoff most v6.  And you can never outrun the radio, or helicoptor.  so dont try.

in baltimore MD the police are using brand new GTs by the harbor tunnel. some people said theyll try to race you and then pull u over. what a set-up.

In MD just before the Bay Bridge there is a 2000 GT Performance Red Mustang that is a cop. I saw him pull over a supercharger Regal. i was surprised as hell to see a state boy have a mustang. normally i see camaros for state cars like in SC and Ga.

South Carolina uses Carmaros and even some impalas.

Kansas used to have a few Mustangs and I know the Highway Patrol here just got some new Camaros as well, so apparently they have both here...

In NY the cops drive crown vics, Caprices, and Impalas.. I know the Caprices have the LT1 engine, beefed up suspension and brakes.  The LT1 made something like 340 HP in the Corvette.. SO im sure the cops are packin clost to 300 HP in most cars

I think the new crown vics have 220hp w/ there 4.6 engine.  But they also have dual exhaust and a few small mods on them.. so Id say there close to 240 hp.

North Carolina is just bringing out their fleet of over 100 Camaros supposed to do well over 150mph.  They showed them training in them on TV on some closed down highway near hear.  Guy says "you would be surprized how smooth it is at 145-150mph."

Florida Highway Patrol USED to have Mustang 5.0s.

I remember seeing one about 5 years back in NC, when I was down there, going to a nascar race.

What I find strange is, I live in a lil town in WV, and they have a Camero z28 crusier. *Theres only about 10,000 people living here and about 5 miles of interstate patrol. * Now, I could see if its the state police. * Which, they dont even have one. *They just drive Crown Vics & Expeditions, *maybe a few jeeps. *I remember back in the day, they had dodge daytonas. lol

In WI, we have all of those, except the Mustang. If Im gonna get pulled over, I guess Id feel better if it was a stang lol. They also have an 80s vette with sherrifs dept logos all over it, and a huge spoiler- Cop rice lol. I guess it was taken from a drug dealer.

My friends dad got caught up in a race with a cop who was just trying to race to ticket people.  he got off the hook though cuz it was considered entrapment, which is illegal.  also where i live there are some sheriff officer cars running NOS, what a crock

The old 5.0 stangs here in cali were fast as hell. But in all, it doesnt matter how fast they can go, they will always catch you. I see at least two car chases a day out here and not one has gotten away. Even the new vettes lose.

LISTEN TO THIS! YOU WILL **** YOUR PANTS lol.   In Erie Pennsylvania, where I live, The PA state Police had a 95 Cobra R!!!!! A REAL ONE, I have a picture to prove it, It was siezed from a drug dealer and they hooked it up with badges etc. Ill post the pic.
