10 psi Vortech installed!
Well, the Vortech is in... first impression: HOLY FAWKING SHEEETT!!
After wading through rush hour traffic, I finally got to FAST Specialties around 5:45 pm. I talked with Amber and Ron quite a bit. Travis, the installer and tuner, had already gone home. Amber said Travis was very pleased... he has a 380 hp supercharged V6 himself (can't remember what car he has though). Everyone in the shop agreed... she's fast!
While Amber was finishing up her paperwork, I took it for a spin around the neighborhood. Let's just say, the burnout produced a nice smokescreen behind me and she chirped 2nd with glee! She got up to 60 mighty quick!
The one thing I noticed was the sound of the blow off valve... sounds like crickets below 40-45 or so. Amber suggested a larger blow off valve if it gets annoying (the smaller the valve, the louder the sound). For now, I can live with it.
I really haven't been able to get open her up tonight. It's late... and I'm tired. But, I can already tell, she's pulls like a mutha!
So, here's what many of you have been waiting for... the numbers... from a Mustang Dyno with the 10psi pulley.
Max HP: 317.4
Max TQ: 298.6
In a week or two, I'll go in for a recheck and they'll put on the aluminum driveshaft and safety loop. They're also going to change out the fuel filter since I was running 87 octane for 10,000 miles or so. Then, we'll stick her back up on the dyno and see if there's a few more hp in her.
All in all, I am pleased as punch! This is officially the fastest car I've ever driven! Dig it!

Thanks all!
StangMod... total damage, including parts, install, dyno, etc was right around $6K
Here's a quick vid I made of a few revs in the garage... I'll post more interesting vids when I get this darn screw out of my tire!

A dyno measures numbers at the wheels... anyone want to guess what 317 is at the flywheel? What's the conversion with an auto?

its like a 20% loss with autos
317 x 20% is 63.4hp...thus about 380hp to the flywheel
Mine is 285rwhp...but with only a 15% loss so its 42.75hp total of 328hp.
Manuals get more RWHP just by being manuals we lose less power from the fly to the rear wheels

Thats awsome. Do you really need to change your fuel filter if you switch to a higher octane though?

FAST's thought around the fuel filter was, the lower octane gas, used for about 10,000 miles, may have clogged up the filter a bit. So, replacing the filter now could give better flow and they've be able to advance the timing a couple degrees. Well, that's about the extent of my technical knowledge LOL!

It's also a Mustang dyno which will usually read lower than a dynojet. Nice numbers

What other mods do you have going? Rember, I've got headers and duals too... I don't recall what you've done to your exhaust. Let's see your dyno sheet!
Most dynos seem to be calibrated differently... numbers are just numbers... as long as you're happy with the way your ride is running, it's cool!

I didn't do a dyno right after the headers... but, felt a noticeable gain... it wasn't an earth shattering change, but very present.

320rwhp on a Mustang dyno is about 350-360rwhp on a Dynojet, which is what most people use when talking about rwhp.

Congrats on the vortech you'll love it I know I love mine. Though it's kind of sad that at 10 PSI intercooled and bolt ons, a 05-07 V6 still makes less hp than a bolted on 05-07 GT.
