;D  Okay, I have a gt exhaust system I am getting ready to put on my 00 v6 stang.  A friend of mine who has a 93 (I think) LX with a 5.0 , and hes got all sorts of perfomance items on his car...told me that I should put headers on my car.  That I should do this b4 hand too.  Now, my questions is...what kind of headers, shorty or long, and what is the sound gonna be like?  I dont want to have a jacked up lawn mower.  DO headers make that much of a difference?  If you were in my situation....what would u do?  After I put on my exhaust system, I am changing the gears, the intake system, putting on an air meter, and getting a chip also.

yah headers are a good idea to add some hp and sound to your stang.  Long tube are the best to go with for more hp but shorty will give it more growl.  either one is good and yah if you are going thru the trouble of an exhaust then add some headers too.  you will be glad you did.  mac makes some good v-6 headers.  go to www.macperformance.com and it is one of their new items.8)

Hey man,

One of the technical guys at a Mustang specialty parts retailer told me that he would go w/ the shorty headers on an automatic, and long tubes on a standard. I have an automatic, so its MAC shorties for me. Peace
