05 stang finally here!!!

Hall Ford in Newport News, VA just got three 05 stangs....they said the truck will be there in the morning, cant wait to see them. They are starting the price at 5,000 over MSRP, I think I can wait for a month or two when they prices drop..

Charging OVER MSRP is the reason I'll never buy a Harley.

**** that and any Ford dealer that does it.

You have to consider that this is a little different though. At least in the case of the GT, you get 300hp with that Vtec thingy for ~26K. AND its a V8! Ford priced it conservatively unlike those BMW folks. So you still have to admit...not bloody bad. If I got one it would be in black probably a convertible but yea, i still wouldn't want to pay over MSRP.

new mustangs do not have vtec, and comparing a ford to a bmw is like comparing a geo to a caddy

I said "vtec thingy." I wasn't sure if it was variable valve lift or cam timing or what exactly so even though its called different things, ecotec, vvti ....you get my drift right?
Comparing the BMW to the new mustang was in response to an earlier comment on why the '05s are selling over MSRP, in which case i think they are still a bargain -in the whole scheme of things- versus cars that come with way overpriced MSRPs.

you get what you pay for. two completely different types of cars, diff. classes.

vtec and ecotec are two diff things. vtec and vvtli are names given to variable valve timing (diff cam profiles + timing for diff parts of the rev range) where as ecotec i beleive is just the name given to a motor.

The dealership by my house (tustin ford) got only 2 in, one black v6 and one grey gt, they are very nice, inside and out, very well built, it looks like ford actually put some real effort and time into this car, the GT's finally come with a "Plastic" upper intake that gonna help reduce the temp. of the air comming in (same as m3's), the engine setup leaves even a lil more room than the now old model stangs, it does not even look like its gonna need subframe connectors under cause its got a thick ass frame..... They are priced over msrp because the company that makes many products for the mustang pulled out at the last minute, they were not able to make anywhere near half the parts in the contract. So they will be pretty rare for the next 6 months is what i hear, the cobra is being pushed back till late 2006 is something els i heard. Sucks. But the 05 is an amazingly well built machine. Ready to show eveyone its place on the line-up. 13.6 STOCK AUTO.....****, ford did it again!

Local dealer got a red GT in. I was parked along side of the road where I go to college at and I saw the front end and I realized it was a 05 Mustang. Guy saw me checking it out and gunned it. It sounded sweet as hell and it looked so awesome. It had the bullitt style wheels on it. Went driving by the dealer later and it was sitting in the back lot. My opinion on the 05 Stang has completely changed. I thought they weren't so spectacular, but after seeing it in person, they are one of the sweetest looking vehicles I've ever seen, IMO. I need some funds quick cuz I want one bad.

I wouldn't be so cavalier about stating prices will drop within a month. The Chrysler 300C has been out for about 8 months and people are still standing in line to pay MSRP or above in many parts of the country. And, the wait time is still 3-4 months.

Sure, they'll make more Mustangs than 300Cs, but there's also probably going to be more demand for the Mustang.
