Keep your heel planted on the floor and use your toes to push in the cluch instead of your whole foot. That will help you feel the cluch better since your toes are really sensitive. You should also use the same technique with the brake and gas.
with heel to toe on ur gas and brake, add a spacer to ur gas pedal so itll level a lil on ur brakes and so u dont have to lift ur leg to hit the brake from gas.;D
Wrong technique. Ok, the thing I explained is a totally different technique. Sorry, been a while since I raced. Heel to toe shifting is best explained by this guy. http://www.happytogether.com/318ti/notebook/shifting/
what I said is the proper way to place your foot for driving.
When I first got my Stang, it was basically the first car I ever drove stickshift in. From what others have told me when driving my car they all mention how tough the clutch is when you push down on it. I cant really tell since this was the first car I drove that was manual, but after some thought, it does seem kinda tough. Like when I wear sandals...it takes more of an effort to push down on the sucker. Also, in some instances why does my car jerk back and forth after putting it into first...am I not accelerating enough...or is it too much that I need to shift earlier?
