detroit locker will give you the competitive edge with unmatched traction by delivering all power to both wheels. It is said and known to many to act as a open differential while driving under normal conditions, but once you slam on the gas its full posi with both wheels. Some people have experience slight chatter while turning corners or slight pushing of the vehicle going slow while parking, others have had excellent experience with these differentials. One con of this product it is a little bit more expensive vs other differentials or limited slip units. You can find these units at summitracing.com or jegs.com etc.
They do make detroit lockers for 8.8 gt rear end and 7.5 inch rear. They also except 28 and 31 spline or you can do a 9 with go up towards 35 spline.
They will accept c-clip axles or you can go with c-clip eliminators, which are suggested for track only due to leaking (from another source) this may not be true.
